This course equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to respond to emergency situations and provide first aid in line with recognised best practice guidelines.
Students will learn how to manage a range of first aid situations, including performing CPR, providing basic emergency life support, and delivering appropriate first aid care until professional medical assistance arrives.
This training is suitable for individuals who may be required to respond to emergencies in both workplace and community settings.
This course is offered as a face-to-face course. Pre-course learning is required.
Course Duration
Face to Face minimum duration is 6 hours.
Training Requirements
Face to face training consists of theory presentations and range of practical learning activities and scenarios.
Assessment Requirements
Assessment activities will include a knowledge test and practical assessments including CPR and First Aid techniques and completion of documentation. Students will also complete scenarios in a simulated environment.
Course Renewal Requirements
The statement of attainment is valid for 3 years*.
*Please note that the CPR component of the training is valid for 12 months and should be updated annually.
