The course is divided into two parts:
1. The first focuses on strategies to work alongside and support people with mental health challenges. You’ll build skills in empathetic communication, understanding needs, and helping others achieve their personal goals.
2. The second part focuses on mental health crisis intervention, or what’s commonly referred to as mental health first aid. You’ll learn to recognise and respond to crises, ensuring safety, addressing immediate needs, and connecting individuals to professional help, all while taking care of your own wellbeing.
